FAFSA / DREAM Act
FAFSA/Dream Act Getting Started
We know that getting started with your FAFSA/Dream Act can seem overwhelming so here's a breakdown of how to get started.
1. Create your FSA or Dream Act ID (you will need one for yourself and you will need one for one parent). We've attached worksheets for you to have with you to help you remember your security questions and login information.
2. Gather all necessary information. There's a list of items you'll need, that can be found below.
3. Complete the FAFSA/Dream Act Worksheet, they can be found in a separate tab of the website. This will allow you to complete the application quickly. This is not mandatory, but will help speed up the process.
4. Login to your FAFSA/Dream Act account, you'll use the login information you created in step 1 to do this and you're all set to go. You are completing the application for 2021-2022
*We highly recommend parents with social security numbers to use the IRS data retrieval tool that is built in to the application. It will pull information from your 201 tax return to your student's application and eliminate the possibility of errors.
5. If you get stuck on any part of the application please make sure to drop in on one of the drop in days COS financial aid is providing.
